Shapes

The Shape tool (U) draws rectangles, ellipses, and straight lines in your primary color. Drag on the canvas to draw.

Shapes

• Rectangle Stroke and Ellipse Stroke: outlines.
• Rectangle Fill and Ellipse Fill: filled shapes.
• Line: a straight line.

Settings

Setting	What it does
Line Width	Sets the thickness of outlines and lines.
Opacity	Makes the shape more or less transparent.
Outwards	Draws from the center outwards instead of from corner to corner.
Fixed 1:1	Makes perfect squares and circles. Or hold Shift while dragging.
Snap (Line only)	Snaps lines to 45° steps. Or hold Shift while dragging.
Eraser	Erases the shape instead of drawing it.
Lock Alpha	Only changes pixels that already have paint. See Lock Alpha.
Auto-pan	Moves the view when you drag past the edge of the window.

If something is selected, shapes are only drawn inside the selection.
